I Know you like I know my hands

This one is when i decided to go deeper into the idea lol...friend your section is done :)

I know you like I know my hands
I know the basic facts
four fingers, one thumb on each hand
brownish black complexion
fingernails polished brown
some will say that’s all I need to know
that that information is sufficient for now

cause what I don’t know apart from that is how many little lines are on each palm
how each of those lines differ
how every little scar on each hand got there
how the ruffles at the front of your fingernails differ
why some of the nails on one hand are bent slightly
why the others are perfectly straight, and so much more

I don’t know the little things
the things some will way transcends a factual into an intimate relationship

Yet because of my relationship with you I will reject that argument

Explain how knowing more facts about you cannot ever make us any closer

That through personal experiences with you I’ve come to know you

On much more than a factual basics

And how I see intimacy as knowing more than just the lines on each hand

But having a bond formed on so much more

You have touched what others never will

You know me more intimately than any other in this body

for now

You have been used to tear down

To build up

For reconciliation

For support

The list goes on

And though there never seems to be enough time for me to find out all the little details

Like how many scars are on each hand and lines one each palm

I know that I know you

And you, you know me

You've touched parts that not everyone has touched on me
we have a bond formed on more than what is seen

So thankfully I appreciate what I know about you now
and who knows
maybe one day

If there will ever be time

I'll get to the facts about you in depth and it'll only add to my knowledge of you

Change anything? I still don't think so

But who knows?
